These sea facing rooms, with a view of the Flamboyant Pool, are newly renovated, located on the ground, first and second floors with a terrace or balcony, and have all the features of the Luxury Rooms. There are 2 disabled rooms in this category which have been fully renovate. Maximum occupancy of the disabled rooms is 2 adults.

42 Family Suites (Size: 75m2)
Pampering for the parents, fun for the kids. This open suite is filled with stunning features. Sleek wooden panelling separates the living area from the bedroom. The two bathrooms are spacious and immaculate. The wide terrace or balcony – with views of the peaceful Japanese garden – is ideal for spending quality family time together.

7 Opera Suites (Size: 110m2)
These exquisitely tranquil suites have been fully renovated and are designed to surprise and delight. Beyond the French doors is an unobstructed sea view and direct access to the beach. A whirlpool tub beckons from one end of the spacious bedroom.

The Kestrel Bar
In the casual elegance of the Kestrel Bar, master bartenders and staff welcome you to unwind and enjoy a variety of refreshments. Niched between the pool and the endless sea, you are ensured an inspiring view any time of day or night. Enjoy live music every evening. The bar lounge’s extensive menu features classic cocktails as well as tropical drinks like caipirinhas and lychee mojitos. For those with wellness in mind, Kestrel blends fresh fruits, coconut water, lemongrass infusion and ginger syrup to create delicious healthy smoothies and frappés.

The Tamassa Bar
Be tempted by the global and local flavours of this casual beach bar. Whether you’re sunbathing on the sand or relaxing on a shady sunbed, you don’t have far to go for icy cocktails, hot snacks and other refreshments. During the day, the tantalizing scent of made-to-order crêpes lingers in the air. The spacious bar has an extensive snack menu to satisfy any hunger. On the beach, a kiosk beckons with a variety of sweet and savoury treats. When evening falls, Tamassa Bar is the place to be. Dancing, live music or a hot DJ, fun activities… this beach nightclub pulsates with energy and life.

Mauritius is blessed with a tropical climate and is a fantastic year-round holiday destination. Temperatures range from the low to mid-20s°C in the cooler months (April to October), up to the late 20s°C and early 30s°C during the gorgeous summer months from November to March.

Mauritius is 2 hours ahead of South Africa. The monetary unit is the Mauritian Rupee (Rs) which is divided into 100 cents. Major currencies such as US Dollars and Euros, and even South African Rands, are accepted in most hotels and by many vendors. One fantastic thing to note that Mauritius is a visa-free destination for South Africans (in fact all of the locations offered by the Holiday Factory are visa-free!)

Take along your best beach and casual wear, perfect for the day. In the evening, the dress-code for dinner is usually smart casual and gents are required to wear long trousers. You may also want to take some swimming shoes as there are urchins in some places and the corals can be sharp. But whatever you leave behind, take it as an opportunity for some retail therapy. Mauritius is a living and working island so you will be able to get most things you might need. In fact, you won’t regret a trip to the shops or markets.
