The naturally lit king size bedroom includes an ensuite bathroom with a sunken marble bath, offering private garden views.

These thatched villas with 70m² of interior space, include a king size bedroom, an elegantly appointed living area with natural cane and bamboo furniture, and a naturally lit bathroom with a sunken marble bath. Within the private courtyard garden, you can relax in your own heated swimming pool, stretch out on a sun lounger, or enjoy spectacular sea views from the raised dining pavilion.

Premier Ocean View Villa with Private Pool (Size: 325m²)
Located closest to the seafront these villas offer stunning views of Turtle Bay and its unforgettable sunsets. Interiors include a king size bed and comfortable living space. The Main Restaurant at The Oberoi Mauritius
Naturally lit during the daytime and with magnificent ocean views, at night the fine dining restaurant takes on a different avatar. The reflection pool is lit by flaming torches, and across the ocean the twinkling lights of Port Louis harbour can be seen. Savour authentic Creole, international and Indian cuisine within the traditional thatched roof room, or al fresco under the stars.

On the Rocks Restaurant
For a truly unforgettable dining experience, let us show you to a table perched on top of dark volcanic rocks that rise out of the ocean. Fresh seafood from the grill, salads, pasta, pizzas and even your personal catch cooked just the way you like it, are complemented by the sound of waves crashing at your toes. On the Rocks is open for lunch daily and dinner three times a week.
Open for Lunch (12h00 – 15h00) and 3 times a week for Dinner (19h00 – 22h30).

The Gunpowder Room
The Oberoi’s fine dining restaurant is housed in an original gunpowder room dating back to 18th century French colonial Mauritius. Rustic stone walls and floors, antique wine barrels and chandeliers  create the charm of a bygone era. A unique ‘Creole Casserole’ menu is offered twice a week and private dining is available by prior arrangement.
Open for Dinner Tuesdays and Thursdays (19h00 – 22h30)

The Bar
The bar is open sided with a traditional thatched roof and offers endless ocean vistas. Melodies played here every evening upon the ebony piano are carried on the gentle sea breeze. Comfortably seated at a rustic oak table or a comfortable sofa, you can enjoy cocktails, champagne, prestige wines, local rums.
Open for drinks (10h00 – 23h30).

KIDS CLUB
The Hub offers a heated swimming pool and a range of games and activities for children between 4 and 12 years, under supervision of Oberoi Kids' Club team.

The onsite facilities include a heated children's swimming pool, an indoor table top football, table tennis, Wii, Playstation and board games. There is also an outdoor play area with a mini bowling alley, slides, a swing and a tree house. Daily activities range from feeding the hotel's koi fish to taking a glass bottom boat ride, snorkelling and banana boat riding. The Club also offers supervised visits to the aquarium at Point aux Piments, star gazing, and henna tattoos. There are cooking lessons once a week, and movie mornings, every day.

It is located just a short direct flight from Cape Town or Johannesburg, making it really easy to visit for a week’s holiday with the family, and there are hotels to suit every single budget. You name it, Mauritius has got it.

Mauritius is blessed with a tropical climate and is a fantastic year-round holiday destination. Temperatures range from the low to mid-20s°C in the cooler months (April to October), up to the late 20s°C and early 30s°C during the gorgeous summer months from November to March.

Mauritius is 2 hours ahead of South Africa. The monetary unit is the Mauritian Rupee (Rs) which is divided into 100 cents. Major currencies such as US Dollars and Euros, and even South African Rands, are accepted in most hotels and by many vendors. One fantastic thing to note that Mauritius is a visa-free destination for South Africans (in fact all of the locations offered by the Holiday Factory are visa-free!)

Take along your best beach and casual wear, perfect for the day. In the evening, the dress-code for dinner is usually smart casual and gents are required to wear long trousers. You may also want to take some swimming shoes as there are urchins in some places and the corals can be sharp. But whatever you leave behind, take it as an opportunity for some retail therapy. Mauritius is a living and working island so you will be able to get most things you might need. In fact, you won’t regret a trip to the shops or markets.
